One day later....
Yesterday, as many of you know, we were in the middle of a wildfire that was out of control. My husband and my father kept our house from burning with wet blankets. The firemen couldn't see our house for the black smoke that was all around it. So the two of them were brave enough to tough it out and stay. I'm not sure I would have been able to do it. This morning, we woke up to a horn blowing, and found the barn was on fire. So, now we have lost that. All in all, a rough couple of days. On the brighter side, my mom was building a new house, and all of us are safe. Our house is fine, a bit smoky and singed around the bottom, but ok. We all feel the same. Here are a couple of pictures from this morning. The last one is the blankets that they used to stop the fire. (I had to pause there to go and call the fire dept back to put out some new fires that popped up.) Just another day in paradise.

I'm sure your mom is devestated about losing all her stuff, but we're glad you're all safe. I'll say a little prayer that her new house gets done quickly. At least it was already in progress and now insurance will pay for it - there is a bright side! HUGS!
Becky, you've been a good friend to me, reminding me to call on my friends when I'm in need. Now it's my turn to remind you, CALL ON YOUR FRIENDS you're in NEED. It may not be physical, it may be for some ridiculous thing, it may be for "nothing" but we are here 24/7. You've taught me alot about being strong and making choices..
We're here for you and your family...
I am so thankful that all of you are allright. Cole was very worried yesterday and before bed said "mom, you know the most important things survived. Becky, Otis, his brother, his dad and Beckay still has her mom and Otis still has his grandma. Oh, and the dogs. You know animals are smart mom, they know when to run." Ditto to what Shaun said. We are all here 24/7 for ANYthing.
You all are in our prayers and hearts. We love you!
I can't be there to help clean up, but the RV is yours as long as you need it. There is another bright side to this, Big O doesn't have to mow the grass this week....
